Social media for a small business, in one hour a week
You run the business and the accounts. PostRoost lets you plan a week of posts in one sitting, write once for every network, and stop thinking about posting until next week.
The example uses a fictional café, Copperline Coffee.
Monday, 20 minutes jot down the week: a new seasonal drink, opening hours for the bank holiday, a behind-the-counter photo, a customer favourite.
Write once for each idea, write the caption under All networks. Ask the writing assistant for a draft in the café’s brand voice if you are stuck, and for hashtags for Instagram.
Tailor shorten the X version, keep the Facebook version chatty, add a first comment on Instagram.
Schedule pick days and times on the calendar. Posts go out at your local time while you work.
Friday, 5 minutes check the analytics overview to see which post people liked.

Frequently asked questions
10 questions
Do I need to post every day?
No. Consistency matters more than volume; three good posts a week that go out reliably beat seven rushed ones. PostRoost makes the reliable part easy.
Is the Free plan enough?
For one brand and up to 10 posts waiting at a time, often yes. Essentials removes that limit and adds bulk upload, first comments and full reports.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Sign up with your name, business name, e-mail address and a password, and your business is set up as the first client.
Can a member of staff help with the posts?
Free and Essentials include one user. Team adds unlimited users, roles and an approval step if you want to check posts first.
Do I need to be online when posts go out?
No. Posts are published from PostRoost's servers at the time you chose, in your business's time zone.
How much AI help do I get?
Five assistant requests a week on Free, and unlimited on every paid plan. You read and choose every suggestion yourself.
Which networks should a small business be on?
The ones your customers already use. Doing two networks well beats doing five badly; you can connect more later without paying more.
Can I post to my Google Business Profile?
No. Google Business Profile is not supported. PostRoost publishes to Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.
Can I manage posts from my phone?
PostRoost works in a mobile browser, though the month calendar is easier on a larger screen. There is no mobile app.
How do I know which posts worked?
The analytics overview shows the last 30 days on Free. Essentials adds full history, the post engagement report and CSV export.
Moving an agency to a new scheduler is mostly about not losing anything and not posting anything twice. A step-by-step checklist from inventory to cut-over to cancelling the old tool.
Most monthly social reports are exported charts nobody opens twice. A structure for a one-page report that answers the client's question, explains the numbers and ends with decisions.
